Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes.
Respectful use
Share real travel memories and maps; do not upload harmful, illegal, or infringing content.
Only add friends you know and respect their privacy choices.
Do not attempt to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or misuse the service.
Do not impersonate others or create fake accounts.
Reporting illegal content: if you come across content on WHIB that you believe is unlawful, report it through the contact form at whib.me/contact by choosing the "Report content" subject (you can also write to support@whib.app). Include the link to the content or a precise description of where to find it (username, memory, trip), the reason why you consider it unlawful, and your name and email address so that we can reply. We acknowledge every report and tell you what we decided; manifestly unlawful content is removed and the account behind it may be suspended.
Reporting illegal content
As the host of the content its users publish, WHIB gives you a way to report content you believe to be unlawful, in line with article 6 of the French Act on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN) and with the EU Digital Services Act.
Use the contact form at whib.me/contact and pick the subject "Report content". You can also write to support@whib.app.
Please include: the link to the content, or a precise description of where to find it (username, memory, trip); the reason why you consider it unlawful; and your name and email address so that we can reply to you.
We acknowledge every report and tell you what we decided. Content that is manifestly unlawful is removed, and the account behind it may be suspended.
Reporting content as unlawful when you know it is not is an offence under the LCEN, so please only report in good faith.
Your content
You retain ownership of all content you upload (photos, memories, etc.).
You grant us a license to store, display, and share your content as needed to run the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to share any content you upload.
We may remove content that violates these terms without prior notice.
Your responsibilities
Keep your login credentials secure and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Only upload content you have the legal right to share.
Follow all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
Be kind and respectful to other travelers.
Deleting data or your account
You can delete individual memories at any time; associated photos and data are permanently removed.
You can delete your account to remove all your data, including profile, friendships, achievements, and uploads.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind.
We do our best to keep the service available and secure, but occasional downtime or bugs may occur.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service (if any).
Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our retention policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and France.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
